In the account of the clashes occurred over the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) issues in North East Delhi, a Shoot-at-sight order at the violent hit areas are now disclosed by the Delhi Government. There is a curfew imposed in four critical areas of the brutal hit North East Delhi. Bhajanpura, Chand Bagh is some areas in the North-East district of Delhi where violence continued with missiles and stones over shops.
The Delhi Police SP announced the shoot-at-sight order in the Yamuna Vihar area. There are shooting orders announced to the policemen to shoot the rioters immediately. More than 180 people got injured, and 27 people have been killed because of the violent acts that occurred over the amended citizenship law. Karawal Nagar, Chand Bagh, Maujpur, and Jaffrabad are four violence-hit areas of North East Delhi, and the SP announced that there is a curfew imposed in these four areas.
Clashes occurred between the group who oppose and support the Citizenship Amendment act on Monday in Maujpur and Jaffrabad. The protestors started hurling stones at each other, torched vehicles, shops, and houses. The protestors continued the clash on Tuesday too. Due to the violence caused, the Ghaziabad district administrator sealed three borders and ordered to close pubs and bars in Ghaziabad. Traffic is diverted to different areas like Surya Nagar, and the traffic movement to the Apsara border is now closed.
Delhi police have said that the protectors of Anti-CAA vacated every road outside the metro station of Jaffrabad. SN Srivastava, a senior IPS officer, is now appointed as the special commissioner, and he has been asked to take charge immediately. Amit Shah, the Union Home Minister, conducted a meeting with Arvind Kejriwal (Chief Minister), Anil Baijal (LG), Amulya Patnaik (Police Commissioner) to deal the violence and situation happening in different areas of Delhi.
