Considering the situation in our country and the rapid increase in cases across the country, Swiggy announced a 4-day work week for all its employees in May.
This was announced hoping that it could help the employees cope with the stress and focus on their physical and mental health.
Respecting the efforts that these boots put in, this decision was made. They can decide which 4 days of the week they want to work and take the rest of the week off to take care of themselves and their loved ones. Swiggy has also set up a pandemic support technology and an emergency support team to help the employees in this time of need.
They also set up a Swiggy Shield App and Employee Support Hotline to help employees access hospital beds, ICUs, ambulance support, plasma and oxygen cylinders, and other emergency services.
It also provides home isolation/quarantine care coverage and reimbursements for employees, hospitalization cover for employees and family, Vaccination coverage for employees and family members, and vaccination time off. It also gave salary advances, leave encashments, and access to loans. They also provided an early release of salary for May to Grade 1 to 6 employees and Nutrition support cover if employees or their family members test positive.
After announcing that they will cover the costs for vaccination for its delivery partners in March, Swiggy will also help their employees to fight this pandemic in any way that they are capable.
