Former President Pranab Mukherjee had earlier announced on Twitter on Monday, that he has been tested positive for the Coronavirus.
Also, Mukherjee requested the people, who all came in contact with him to isolate themselves and get tested. After being tested positive, Mukherjee was admitted to Army Research and Referral Hospital in New Delhi.

Recently, Former president underwent life-saving surgery. It is noted that Mukherjee was tested positive for the Coronavirus before the surgery. According to the sources, A brain clot was detected due to which the former president Mukherjee underwent brain surgery.
Later on today, The hospital stated in a medical bulletin that, “Post the surgery, He still continues to remain critical on ventilator support”.
President Ram Nath Kovind also wished for his speedy recovery. Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh visited the Army Hospital (R&R) in New Delhi and met the doctors to inquire about the health of the former President.

West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee tweeted that she’s concerned about the former president’s health and prayers are with him and his family at this time and also wished him a speedy recovery.
Congress leader Abhijeet Mukherjee and son of Pranab Mukherjee tweeted that he appeals to all the Indians to pray for his father’s health and speedy recovery and good health.
A veteran statesman and leader, Pranab Mukherjee was India’s president between 2012 and 2017. Mr. Mukherjee has also been bestowed with numerous awards, including India’s highest civilian award – the Bharat Ratna – in 2019.
