The “Arjun Reddy” shot in Tamil was first directed by the director Bala. The production team was not satisfied with the film as it had the Bala’s touch and did not match the level of Telugu “Arjun Reddy.” Bala has made a statement that “I’m forced to safeguard creative freedom. It was my own decision to relieve myself from this project. Considering Dhruv Vikram’s future, I would like to end this here”.
It was then re-shot with a different cast, crew, and director except for Dhruv. The film was named “Aditya Varma” with Dhruv Vikram, Banita Sandhu, Priya Anand, Anbuthasan playing in the lead roles, and directed by the director Girisaayaa. The film hit the screen on November 22nd. Even though everyone praised Dhruv Vikram’s acting in the movie, it was an average grosser and did not go well in theatres.
The combination of Director Bala and Dhruv Vikram’s Varma is geared up for the release in one of the dominant online streaming platforms the Netflix. We can expect the Dhruv’s debut project, Varma, within the second week of February.
Director Bala is a realistic and most exceptional director, producer, filmmaker, and screenwriter in Kollywood. Films like Naan Kadavul, Thara Thappattai, Pithamagan, Sethu has created a lasting comic effect in everyone’s heart. Surya, Vikram, Vishal, Varalakshmi, Arya, Janani Iyer, GV Prakash are some of the actors who had a career breakthrough through the Bala’s films.
To cover the loss of “Aditiya Varma,” the production house E4 Entertainment is now planning to release the director Bala’s Varma on Netflix by the second week of February. There is no official confirmation from the production house. Let’s wait for the official approval and let the audience decide which would be the better version, Bala’s ‘Varma’ or Girisaaya’s ‘Aditya Varma.’

Eager to know how a original director like Bala would have tweaked the scenes while remaking a film. This is his first remake indeed. #DhruvVikram
