Can you believe the Runner-Up of Miss India 2020 is an Auto Rickshaw driver’s daughter. No Rights!
Manya Singh, being a daughter of an Auto rickshaw driver proved everyone wrong with her passion towards her dream.
A dream which her mother, friends always told that she could not aim for or desire for. Despite being from a very poor family. She scored 80% in her 10th std although she could not attend classes regularly because her parents could not afford regular education. During her school days she worked as a dishwasher in Pizza Hut and attended school just to write her exams.
She managed to complete her schooling in Uttar Pradesh and joined a college in Mumbai while she was working in a call center to complete her education. She now stays in Mumbai with her parents. Manya says that they would get her married after her studies. But she wanted to be an example to many girls and do something big. She wanted to tell everyone if you dream to become something you will have to stay focused and work hard.
She doesn’t know how to talk fluently either in Hindi or English. But she believed in herself and told she would do it. She joined a call center to improve her communication and also earn a living for her family.
She has been trying to get into modelling and others from 2016. She always participated in college events like Campus Princess etc but she couldn’t clear. Everyone kept telling her she is not a person who can get into Miss India. Because of her parents, communication and background. She doesn’t even know how to groom herself. Later she learn all this by seeing people doing it.
In the PI round of Miss India. In one of the questions she said that “she is not representing the place from where she has come from, but she is representing all the Women. She wants to be a role model to people who want to achieve and do big in their life’.
Manya’s parents were proud of her after she won the beauty pagent. She had shared a picture of her parents holding the manya’s picture wearing a crown.
Her parents were speechless and proud of her achievement.
Just beautiful ❤️🌸

Manya participated in these events to get her parents and younger brother to a certain level. So they could live a better life. She says nothing is impossible unless you start working on them. Your dedication and commitment towards your dream is the most important factor to success.
