Recently, The Tamil Nadu Government has taken over all the movable and immovable properties in the Vedha residence of the late former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Jayalalithaa. Meanwhile, J Deepa, Jayalalithaa’s niece, filed a petition regarding this matter in the Chennai High Court.
And the petition was heard by Judge Anand Venkatesh. Therefore, he questioned her asking, ” Where was she when Jayalalithaa was alive and why didn’t she claim anything at that time and why now ?”. The judge refused to accept J Deepa’s plea. However, Deepa suggested that the case be transferred to a two-judge session so as to get justice.
Later, J Deepa stated in a press conference the reason why she came into politics, while her aunt was no more and why she didn’t claim anything back then. She said that she had no intention of acquiring Jayalalithaa’s assets and What she’s conducting isn’t a struggle for the property but is a struggle for rights.
She also told the press that when her late aunt and former Chief Minister Jayalalithaa was alive, had asked her, (Deepa) several times to take whatever she wanted, but she refused to take anything. And It isn’t that she couldn’t go to the Boise house, because Jayalalithaa did not like it but because of Sasikala.
When Jayalalithaa was alive, she(Deepa) was portrayed as having nothing to do with her aunt or her Boise home. That was because of O. Panneerselvam who waged a moral war, which gave everyone a headache. The cause of all the problems created was O. Panneer. She also claimed that she now relies on the deity and the soul of Jayalalithaa.
Deepa further questioned during the press conference, Why did the Commissioner Arumugasami not appear for the OPS inquiry when he was eventually called 6 times?. Moreover, O. Panneerselvam is the reason that she came into politics unnecessarily. AIADMK leaders don’t care about how Jayalalithaa died, she said.
