People all over the globe are still fighting the pandemic coronavirus which arose from the Wuhan province in China, during December last year. The coronavirus has already led to the death of multiple people all over the world.
Now the Chinese embassy warns us of new and deadly unknown pneumonia circulating in Kazakhstan, China. The officials within the embassy in Kazakhstan issued an alert to the residents that unidentified pneumonia had killed more than 1,700 people in Kazakhstan, according to CNN. They have also raised awareness among the people to take preventive measures to stop the spread of the infection.
The health minister of Kazakhstan said “The death rate of this unknown pneumonia is much higher than the novel coronavirus,” the alert said, according to Newsweek. After the restrictions of COVID-19 were lifted in Kazakhstan, the lockdown has been re-imposed again, due to the outbreak of the infection.
Chief Saule Kisikova from the Healthcare department of Kazakhstan, said that around 300 people who were symptomatic with pneumonia are Hospitalised. In a statement, The World Health Organisation (WHO) said that the cases found in Kazakhstan are likely to be the novel Coronavirus as the country witnessed a huge outburst of COVID-19 cases recently, as reported by Republic TV. Adding further, it was also said that the organization is still working with authorities in Kazakhstan to investigate it.
We’ve already witnessed a huge loss. Let’s hope that this unknown virus doesn’t spread like COVID-19.
